Since starting SnapShooter in 2017 customers have always asked if it's possible to download Digitalocean snapshots. We have always said no, digitalocean don't allow it and when talking with engineering they encrypted the backups using there own keys and own pipority method of storing the data. So even if they let you download you couldn't view/use.
We decided at the end of 2019 to plan the 2020 road map. First up was MySQL backups. This layed down the foundations for the real feature we wanted to release, downloadable server file backups.
